Sonorium

Sonorium Privacy Policy

Effective 15 October 2026

Sonorium doesn't collect your data. The app has no analytics, no ads, no crash-reporting service, no developer accounts and no developer servers. Everything the app stores stays on your phone, and the app talks only to your own Sonorium server and the speakers on your home network. The one exception is a Pro purchase: Google handles the payment and passes the developer a limited order record, used only for refunds, support and tax records.

This policy covers the Sonorium app for Android, made by Synssins, and the sonorium.app website.

What the app stores

The app keeps these on your phone, in storage only the app can read:

None of it is sent to the developer. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Android's settings, deletes all of it.

Who the app talks to

The developer never sees any of this traffic.

The link code

Sonorium's Link App code is a web address on sonorium.app with your server's details after a #. With the app installed, Android opens the app and the details go straight to it. Without the app, the address opens a page on sonorium.app. The part after the # stays on your phone: browsers don't send it to websites.

The sonorium.app website

sonorium.app is hosted by GitHub Pages. It has no cookies, analytics or ads. GitHub keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, under GitHub's privacy statement. Its pages load their font from Google Fonts, so Google receives your browser's IP address when you open them, under Google's privacy policy. This privacy page loads nothing from other sites. The beta page is the only page that sends information you type; see Beta sign-up below.

Beta sign-up

The beta page asks for your name, email address and, if you choose, your Android device model. The form sends them to a Google Form owned by the developer, and Google stores them in the developer's Google Sheet, under Google's privacy policy.

These details are used only to run the Sonorium beta: to invite you to test builds and to contact you about the beta. They are never sold, never shared with or passed on to anyone else, and never used for marketing or any other purpose. They are deleted when the beta ends, or sooner if you ask.

To see, correct or delete your sign-up, email sonorium.app@gmail.com.

Pro purchases

Google Play handles the payment under Google's privacy policy. Through the Play Console, Google gives the developer a limited order record: the order number, date and product, and possibly the buyer's name, email address and approximate location. The developer uses it only for refunds, support and legal and tax records, never for marketing.

Google services the app uses

Permissions

The app doesn't ask for your location, contacts, microphone or files.

Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13, and the developer doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone.

Sharing and selling

The developer doesn't share or sell data, including beta sign-ups, uses no data brokers and shows no ads.

Your rights

The only personal data the developer may hold is Google's order record for a Pro purchase and, if you signed up for the beta, your beta sign-up. To see it or have it deleted, email sonorium.app@gmail.com. Data in your Google account, including your purchases, is managed by Google at myaccount.google.com.

Security

The app's data stays in its private storage on your phone. The app controls your server over an encrypted connection and checks that the server is the one you linked. The audio itself comes from your server over plain HTTP on your home network, the same way speakers receive it.

Changes

This page shows the date of the latest version. Important changes are also announced in the app's release notes.
